In this programme demosEUROPA examines the institutional foundations of the European Union, treaty reform and relations between the institutions.

We aim to identify sources of the political dynamic behind the European project and make recommendations for improving the EU system of governance.

We believe that ensuring a successful future of the European Union will require a modernization of the method of integration in order to streamline avenues for political leadership.  In our view the conscious and self-confident European citizen is central to the EU’s future viability and prosperity.
